This stunning 1943 tugboat has been fully renovated, stretches 85 feet in length, and cruises at a leisurely 10 knots, providing a perfect setting to relax and celebrate.

The Chippewa’s remarkable legacy began in 1943 when she was built by the Puget Sound Bridge & Drydock Company in Seattle, WA, originally commissioned as YTL-361 for the U.S. Navy. Over the decades, she has transitioned through various owners and identities, each chapter adding to her rich history.

Handcrafted with a wooden hull, she reflects a bygone era of skilled craftsmanship. Today, under the care of owner and maritime enthusiast Jeff Mincheff, who took ownership in 2022, the Chippewa continues to sail Puget Sound, connecting passengers to the region’s vibrant maritime heritage.

*The Chippewa can set sail out of Seattle or Tacoma.
